Assimilation
2022

Acrylic paint
14” x 17”

  • This painting is called "Assimilation" because it represents a Moroccan woman who has been assimilated when brought to America and constantly questions her identity.

I took inspiration from Moroccan masks.

City of Murals
2024

Mixed media
9” x 11”

  • Since I was raised in Atlanta and Philadelphia, I created this mixed-media collage depicting both cities. The left side is Philadelphia and the right side is Atlanta. I kept in mind that Philadelphia is known for its murals, and because I am an artist, I feel a great connection to the city's murals. So, I aimed to depict them as well as the diversity of Philadelphia in this image.
